Jason Hazell

Jason Hazell is the co-owner and Director at Theme Park Support, a crucial cog in the Aerotest Group machine, where he keeps everything technically sound—because even roller coasters need a bit of TLC. His career took off with an apprenticeship in aircraft manufacturing—because apparently, he thought making things fly was cooler than, say, building furniture.

He followed up with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and has spent 38 years ensuring that planes don’t turn into flying spaghetti monsters and machinery doesn’t develop a taste for chaos.

At 27, Jason earned Chartered Engineer status in the UK through the Royal Aeronautical Society—basically, the academic equivalent of being asked to sit at the adult table. Since then, he’s added so many titles to his resume that it’s practically a novel: Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng), Member of the Institute of Engineers Australia, Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ), and even managed to get himself on the National Engineering Register (NER)—a real who’s-who of engineering geekdom.

Now, Jason uses his impressive (and slightly nerdy) aviation and engineering skills to help keep the Australian Amusement, Leisure, and Recreation industry spinning, zipping, and zooming—proving that even serious engineers know how to have a bit of fun.
