Water Slide Entry Barrier

The Slide-O-Matic 3000 water slide entry barrier is designed and developed by Theme Park Support using the latest advancements in sensor technology and engineering. The Slide-O-Matic 3000 is an Australian designed and manufactured rider dispatch and detection control system developed to increase safety and reduce operating costs for use on body and raft slides.

The barrier operation is controlled by a purpose-built slide PLC control system.  The barrier is a pneumatically operated gate that lifts out of the way when the slide is clear and entry into the slide by a new rider is permitted. Regulating the dispatch of patrons through a block control system coupled with an automated gate, operators can effectively manage the throughput of guests whilst ensuring the slide is clear.

The key feature to this unique safety system is that the patron detection sensors are not susceptible to the failure modes of optical sensors used on existing patron detection systems. Coupled with a pneumatically actuated gate system, the Slide-O-Matic 3000 minimises the risk of collisions on water slides, whilst simplifying operating procedures for rider despatch for theme and water park operators.
